Highway Interchanges
A trademark of our highway work, we specialize in the construction of complex interchanges. These projects require meticulous coordination of diverse resources and strict adherence to critical path scheduling to achieve success. Our highway team thrives on tackling the challenges inherent in large-scale projects and we're committed to delivering successful outcomes.
Mainline Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and New Alignment
Our highway projects encompass a wide range, from routine maintenance to major construction. This includes reconstruction, rehabilitation, widening and new construction of roads, from interstates down to township roads. Projects can be as small as a new signalized intersection with associated lane adjustments, or as large as a complete rebuild of a one-mile section of I-81.
Airport Facilities Construction and Rehabilitation
Our airport construction portfolio includes various projects at Harrisburg International Airport, Capital City Airport, John F. Kennedy Airport and the 167th Airlift Wing of West Virginia Air National Guard. Projects range from cargo aprons and taxiways to a new airport terminal, along with various rehabilitation projects.
Concrete Paving – Slipform and Handwork
We are outfitted with a complete lineup of Gomaco concrete pavers and associated support machinery for high-production slipform projects. For tight spaces like toll plazas, highway ramps, shoulders and widening construction, where our larger machinery can't maneuver, our skilled crews excel in traditional hand-finishing techniques.
Accelerated Concrete Patching
We specialize in accelerated concrete patching, a technique we leverage on both our own projects and as a subcontractor. Our crews are equipped to handle every step of the process, from precise saw cutting and excavation to pouring, curing and green cutting. For projects near York, Pennsylvania, we have a distinct advantage with our two local ready-mix plants providing prompt service.
Asphalt Paving
Kinsley Construction's extensive asphalt paving and milling equipment, combined with our expert crews, delivers top-tier DOT paving solutions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Milling
We maintain dedicated milling crews to handle the milling work on our projects. We have both a four-foot and a seven-foot Wirtgen mill. Upon request, we mill as a subcontractor in addition to our own projects.
Bridge Approach Work Packages
While we are customarily a competitor looking to win the entire project, we also recognize the needs of our competitors and offer services relating to bridge approach work for those who primarily specialize in bridges and structures. We perform various projects each season as a subcontractor for excavation, grading, stone base, drainage and paving on bridge projects where another contractor is the prime contractor.
Earthwork & Grading
Mass excavation, box out for widening – you name it, we have the right equipment to get the job done. We have larger iron such as 627 scrapers, Volvo off-road trucks, large dozers and excavators for heavy-duty tasks. We also realize that, in our line of work, bigger isn’t always better and we are prepared for all types of grading projects. Compact radius excavators help us get into those hard-to-reach spaces on phased highway projects.
Pipework
We specialize in the installation of underground utilities, including storm drains, water lines, sewers and duct pack work. Our experience and equipment allow us to tackle these projects efficiently, even in difficult conditions.
Erosion and Sediment Control
Environmental responsibility is an area we do not take lightly at Kinsley Construction. We take a proactive approach by maintaining our own E&S enforcement group. This team ensures permit compliance and champions best practices to minimize environmental impact on construction projects. We also collaborate closely with soil conservation districts and regulatory agencies to stay informed of the latest policies and regulations.
M&P of Traffic
As a highway contractor, safety is non-negotiable. This means protecting both the traveling public and our employees within and around the active work zone. We maintain a large fleet of traffic control protection devices and equipment to ensure safe workspace.
Curb, Sidewalk, ADA Ramp Construction
Our team specializes in concrete work, including the installation of curbs, sidewalks and ADA-compliant ramps. We have the expertise to handle a variety of project sizes and complexities, ensuring your project meets all necessary standards.
