Project Scope
Kinsley Construction’s Site team expanded this landfill by constructing a new cell between two existing landfill cells. The new cell’s infrastructure was connected to the existing conveyance and collection systems, and its liner system was integrated with the existing liner. Our scope of work included:
Replacing the existing Cell 1 sanitary sewer line to accommodate subgrade construction
Modifying the existing landfill gas and leachate collection and conveyance infrastructure to accommodate Cell 2 construction, including cleanout extensions, relocations of landfill gas wellheads and a new intermediate perimeter LFG header
Performing earthwork to prepare Cell 2 subgrade
Constructing a valley fill and overlay landfill cell, including tie-ins to existing landfill liner systems
Installing HDPE leachate collection and conveyance piping, accessories and connections to existing sewer systems
Installing a new access road from Cells 4 and 5 to Cell 2
