Project Scope
Kinsley Construction provided design-build services to expand and renovate the Housing and Food Services facility at Penn State University. The project expanded the facility’s capacity to store and distribute food across University Park and 11 Commonwealth Campuses, all while maintaining daily operations.
Facility features include:
New 25,000-square-foot freezer/cooler
Renovated 90,000 square feet, including bakery, storage areas and offices
Thermal envelope scans to identify and fix leaks in refrigerated spaces
Our self-performed scope included:
Constructing the new freezer and cooler
Renovating office, bakery and storage areas
Performing leak repairs and field adjustments
Repairing prior contractor work in temperature- and humidity-sensitive areas
