SUMMARY OF POSITION

Kinsley is seeking an experience IT Application Specialist to join our growing Information Technology department. The IT Application Specialist will act as the technical liaison between business units and the IT department for software configuration, management, report development, and troubleshooting of Viewpoint Vista ERP and a variety of other applications. The IT Application Specialist will report directly to the Director of Technology. A successful candidate must have prior experience managing Viewpoint Vista, be very detail oriented, possess good documentation skills, and have a deep understanding of SQL and Crystal Reports.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for management and support of business applications
  • Responsible for ensuring the privacy, security, and confidentiality of data being managed within applications
  • Monitor software systems for issues and troubleshoot problems
  • Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems
  • Advise or perform maintenance of software systems
  • Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary changes to management systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and develop integrations for applications and databases
  • Create and update reports using Crystal and SSRS reports from single or multiple systems
  • Effectively train end users to use new or modified software applications and answers related question
  • Work alongside with all IT Personnel to quickly resolve end-user issues or problems
  • Assist departments to improve use of ERP system via process improvement and configuration changes
  • Create and maintain documentation related to applications, data, and integrations
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Crystal Reports and SQL integration
  • 3-5 years’ experience with SQL Database management, SQL programming and SSRS
  • Experience designing and building reports and dashboards in Power BI
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge with high attention to detail
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
  • Must have excellent telephone customer-service skills
  • Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills are required
