SUMMARY OF POSITION

Kinsley Properties is seeking a driven Property Accountant to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for the timely and accurate record keeping and accounting in all aspects for a portfolio of assigned properties.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for full cycle accounting for assigned entities
  • Accounts payable invoice approval, entry, payment and reconciliation
  • Responsible for compilation of quarterly closing financial reports for assigned entities
  • Post recurring entries including depreciation, amortization, accruals and prepaid entries
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts for assigned entities on a monthly basis
  • Analysis of tenant ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other reports
  • Performs lease administration including collecting, recording, and follow up on client payments
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned entities in all accounting matters
Requirements
  • Prior accounting experience required; previous experience in commercial real estate preferred but not required
  • 2-4-year post-secondary degree preferred
  • Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office required; Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate experience preferred
  • Ability to work with all personnel within the organization and facilitate communication effectively
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player
  • Must be flexible, and able to work in a fast paced and changing environment
