Route 11 Truss Bridge Over Mill Creek

Kinsley’s team performed the rehabilitation and preservation of an existing four-span bridge that carries Pittston Avenue traffic over railroad lines and Mill Creek. The bridge features a historical 200-foot Baltimore Pratt steel truss span. Our work included:

  • Jacking up the truss superstructure using 600-ton jacks
  • Repairing and rehabilitating bearings and steel members
  • Replacing concrete pedestals and expansion joints
  • Repairing deteriorated concrete on abutment stems, wings, diaphragms, pier caps, pier columns, and beams
  • Placing rock at the abutments
  • Full-depth pavement replacement
  • Cleaning, painting, waterproofing, and other rehabilitation work
