McHenry Row Courtyard by Marriott

Project Info

The hotel is the capstone project of the 10-year long McHenry Row urban mixed-use redevelopment. Located on one-acre with great views of the waterfront, Francis Scott Key Bridge and downtown Baltimore, this hotel was designed and constructed in the Courtyard by Marriott’s Cynergy high-rise prototype to maximize the small building footprint.

The brownfield site design expanded upon the existing utility and road infrastructure and incorporated smart storm water management practices that not only handle storm water runoff but blend into the landscaping. These raised foundation planters, and bio-retention facilities filter run-off prior to discharging it into the Chesapeake Bay.

This LEED-certified building includes the following sustainable features:

  • 30% energy cost savings
  • 43% water use reduction
  • 98% construction waste diverted to landfill

Hotel amenities include a fitness room, bistro and courtyard.
