Project Info

In a joint venture with Galbraith Pre-Design, Kinsley was the general contractor to deliver an expansion of an operational ice cream manufacturing plant.

The project included:

  • A 20,000-sq-ft, three-story, modern, open office with outside patio
  • Conditioned dry storage areas
  • Two-story ice cream production area
  • Radiant-heated floors in all cold storage areas to prevent cracking or heaving of the concrete
  • A 12,000-sq-ft, -10° F manual palletizing area
  • A 16,000-sq-ft, 15° F robot palletizing area
  • A 2,800-sq-ft, 45° F spirals room including -33° F product hardener areas
  • A 5,000-sq-ft, -10° F ingredient freezer
  • A 4,600-sq-ft, 35°F ingredient cooler
  • A 3,300-sq-ft, 45° F tank hall
  • A 35° F cooler dock and a 45° F trash dock
  • A waste water treatment facility and fire pump house

Site work services that we performed included:

  • Performing bulk earthwork, erosion and sedimentation control
  • Clearing and demolition
  • Preparing stone base
  • Fine grading and building pad
  • Installing storm water and sanitary sewer systems
  • Installing natural gas line
  • Asphalt paving new entrance road and employee parking
