In a joint venture with Galbraith Pre-Design, Kinsley was the general contractor to deliver an expansion of an operational ice cream manufacturing plant.
The project included:
- A 20,000-sq-ft, three-story, modern, open office with outside patio
- Conditioned dry storage areas
- Two-story ice cream production area
- Radiant-heated floors in all cold storage areas to prevent cracking or heaving of the concrete
- A 12,000-sq-ft, -10° F manual palletizing area
- A 16,000-sq-ft, 15° F robot palletizing area
- A 2,800-sq-ft, 45° F spirals room including -33° F product hardener areas
- A 5,000-sq-ft, -10° F ingredient freezer
- A 4,600-sq-ft, 35°F ingredient cooler
- A 3,300-sq-ft, 45° F tank hall
- A 35° F cooler dock and a 45° F trash dock
- A waste water treatment facility and fire pump house
Site work services that we performed included:
- Performing bulk earthwork, erosion and sedimentation control
- Clearing and demolition
- Preparing stone base
- Fine grading and building pad
- Installing storm water and sanitary sewer systems
- Installing natural gas line
- Asphalt paving new entrance road and employee parking
