Hidden Hill Renovations

Project Info

This project was a complete renovation of a home originally built in 1906. The stone exterior walls are the only remaining part of the original home.

After first demolishing all wood structures, Kinsley excavated and underpinned the stone walls to create an eight-foot clearance in the basement. By working closely with the customer, Kinsley was able to deliver a home that seamlessly blended the owner’s personal taste with the building’s historic features.

The project included:

  • 3,000-square-foot addition
  • Skeleton of the project constructed of concrete and steel with a timber frame roof
  • New simulated-slate roof
  • Custom-sized wood exterior doors and shutters
  • Custom wood trims and cabinetry
  • Installation of geothermal radiant floor heat and forced air
  • 4,000-square-foot carriage house that is used as a detached garage with office space
