Kinsley delivered preconstruction and construction manager at-risk services for an adaptive reuse project at Johns Hopkins University to transform their vacant US Lacrosse Building into the Imagine Center for Integrative Learning and Life Design, a collaboration hub that houses seven departments for student and alumni mentorship and career development. The project consisted of complete building renovations including MEP system replacements and exterior improvements.

Our scope of work included:

  • Complete interior demolition and reconfiguration of spaces for meeting rooms, an auditorium, a cafe, storage space and open collaboration areas
  • Some exterior demolition and reconstruction of the building facade, roof, landscaping, parking lot, sidewalks, pavilion and stairs/railings
  • Installation of new MEP systems, elevator, foundations and steel framing
  • Improvements to the storm water management system
