New Farm and Garden Building is Coming to the Maryland State Fairgrounds
TIMONIUM, Md. (March 1, 2025) – The Maryland State Fairgrounds is getting a major upgrade with the demolition of the aging Farm and Garden Building. In its place, a new, climate-controlled facility will be built, expanding its use beyond the Maryland State Fair.
The Maryland State Fair & Agricultural Society will now have a year-round venue to educate visitors on agriculture and related industries, while continuing to showcase Maryland’s best agricultural products. Additionally, the space will also be available to rent for meetings, receptions, parties and/or conventions.
The new 10,000-square-foot modernized space will include:

Construction of the new building is expected to begin in May and will take approximately six months to complete.
