Revitalizing Tradition: Kinsley Construction Completes New Harvest Hall on the Site of the Former Maryland State Fair Farm and Garden Building
TIMONIUM, Md. (Dec. 9, 2025) – Kinsley Construction is excited to announce the completion of the new Harvest Hall on the site of the former Maryland State Fair Farm and Garden Building. Our team demolished the existing 62-year-old structure and, in its place, built a 10,000-square-foot, climate-controlled facility.
Led by the Maryland State Fair & Agricultural Society, Inc., a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, in partnership with Kinsley Construction, Harvest Hall is a modern facility that extends the fairgrounds’ functionality far beyond its traditional role during the Maryland State Fair into a year-round rental facility.

The new multi-purpose building will continue to be utilized to showcase farm and garden exhibits and celebrate Maryland’s rich agricultural heritage during the Maryland State Fair. In addition to educational programming, Harvest Hall will serve as a versatile rental facility for meetings, receptions, conventions and private gatherings—enhancing its value to the broader community.
Designed by JP2 Architects, with consulting and engineering support from Proutt Consulting, Terraform Solutions, Carroll Engineering and Richard J. Stern, PE, the facility includes a welcoming lobby, restrooms, an event hall, event storage, prep areas and offices.
Kinsley Construction was proud to serve as the construction manager for the project, working closely with the Society and design team to bring this modernized vision to life.
Construction began in May 2025 and was completed in November 2025.
