Kinsley Construction Completes Sally Port Improvements at Newark, Delaware Police Headquarters
Newark, Del. (Feb. 17, 2026) – Kinsley Construction has completed improvements to the sally port at the Newark, Delaware Police Department Headquarters, delivering a safer, more durable facility that supports daily police operations and community service.
The project involved the full replacement of the existing concrete slab-on-deck, including new structural steel and a suspended concrete slab. Kinsley Construction served as general contractor, completing the work while preserving critical building systems beneath the deck.
To support long-term durability, waterproofing measures were installed to protect the facility below and reduce future maintenance needs.
“The completion of the sally port slab replacement is a significant improvement for the safety and security of our officers and staff,” said Newark Police Chief Mark Farrall. “This project addressed a long-standing structural issue and ensures that this critical operational space will safely support our day-to-day law enforcement functions for years to come.”
