By self-performing this work, we maintain control over quality and schedule while continuing a tradition of skilled carpentry that has been part of Kinsley Construction for generations.

Our crews handle both wood and metal framing, and because this type of production work requires a specific skill set, we’ve developed a team that focuses on it day in and day out.
At the same time, we ensure every crew includes versatile carpenters who can handle a wide range of tasks, guaranteeing seamless support from start to finish.
A typical framing crew consists of three to four carpenters, led by foremen and experienced craftsmen. Their expertise and adaptability allow us to adjust on the fly, manage changes effectively and keep projects on track.
Self-Performing for Quality & Control
As a general contractor, we pride ourselves on self-performing the work that has the greatest impact on project outcomes and framing is a perfect example. By handling the labor, ordering materials and executing the work ourselves, we minimize potential delays and maintain tighter control over every single phase.
We’re deliberate about when we self-perform, looking at crew availability, workload and schedule needs. This way, our framing crews are used where they’ll make the most impact without stretching resources thin.
New Technology & Techniques
Our crews are constantly finding ways to work smarter, and one of those ways is through panelization. Instead of building walls piece by piece on-site, we can now prefabricate panels at the Training & Development Center. These ready-to-install panels are often manufactured while other work, like concrete, is still being finished, dramatically boosting on-site efficiency.
We’ve also expanded our use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) by investing in new software. With BIM, our team can virtually design and coordinate panels before any material is cut. This proactive approach allows us to spot potential conflicts early, plan for safer installations, and streamline communication across all divisions.
