Kinsley Construction Breaks Ground on New Saval Foodservice Headquarters and Distribution Center in Columbia, Maryland
COLUMBIA, Md. (Month XX, XXXX) – Kinsley Construction has broken ground on a new 230,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center for Saval Foodservice in Columbia, Maryland.
Developed in partnership with Saval Foodservice and Howard Hughes Communities™, the build-to-suit facility will support the company’s continued growth while expanding its ability to serve customers throughout the region. The project marks the fourth collaboration between Kinsley Construction and Saval Foodservice.
Located in Columbia Gateway, the new facility will serve as a hub for Saval’s operations and future expansion. Plans include freezer, cooler and specialty storage areas, processing and packing space, a 35-door loading dock and a multi-story office building. Multiple temperature-controlled zones will support a wide range of food products, helping increase storage capacity and operational efficiency.
Kinsley Construction is serving as construction manager. The project is being delivered through a design-build approach with Paragon Engineering Services, Providence Engineering and Warehaus.

Once complete, the headquarters and distribution center will provide additional capacity for storage, processing and order fulfillment while creating a centralized location for Saval’s operations. The facility is designed to accommodate the company’s growth for years to come, create approximately 100 new jobs and further strengthen Columbia’s position as a strategic location for food distribution and logistics.
